Yep Newt it is becuase old codgers like you , Boggy and me scare the hell out of them and we get to trap where we want.......

I know Tom and RdFx are just a bit older than me, in fact I would bet their almost like a Windigo in the woods. Best we can figure from the description of the old man my father claims he once saw while deer hunting. It was a Windigo, just walking through the woods looking older and more ornery than he was. I actually think my old man probably just saw his reflection in the swamp water.

I believe so Newt.  The Windigo is a Chippewa  (Ojibwa)  tale of a spirit that roams the wilderness looking to consume  people in the outdoors......

Heck Newty, thats what the Windigos do when they cant find any humans.....eat each other......What native tribe was indiginous to your area Newt?  Bet they had a name for the Jersey Devil!!!
