Do any of you guys shoot one? How do you like it? Seems like the barrel must be very thin walled to fit in the frame. What are the breech and muzzle outer dia.?Thanks.

12 ga. Encore - Slug barrel

I don't have one but I do have the 20 ga. slug barrel which I love to shoot. Exceptional accuracy and has all the energy you will need at 100 yds (1,000 ftlbs +) to drop any whitetail around. Remington just came out with new bonded sabot slug for 20 which I intend to try. The Winchester partitions shoot weel but pricey. Federal Barnes Expanders shoot real well as well (killed 6 pt at 70 yds perfect shot in crease so it puts them where you aim. Recoil manageable whereas the recoil on the 12 will definitely be stout! I shoot reloaded 12 slugs all the time and believe me when I say stout. I saw one being shot at range and you definitely want long eye relief for the 12 barrel or you will wear it. His 12 came off the bench bags like a rattlesnake strike. I let him shoot my 870 with Hastings barrel which he felt was "pleasant" in comparison. You may want to look at the 20 barrel. I know a lot of folks have them and all seem pleased with it.
