First of June and everyones fishing?

Going sturgeon fishing towmorrow  on the Chippewa River... Son got two 54 inchers and released

RdFx  ..went out today,Few trout.Water is already warm.Was hope'n to get a few more for bait.

Still waiting here to shoot some carp. My son was out the other day he said their moving in but just deep enough with a little chop he couldn't really see them well. They didn't shoot any but did get a couple arrows off. My wife caught a few carp last weekend off our dock fish with worms. They weren't big but all females solid full of eggs. I cleaned 4 and put them in the smoker even though they were a little smaller than I like. Was hard to regular the heat in the smoker as the wind was really something on Tuesday when I did them. They turned out all right but a little drier than I like because they were small. Once the carp start rolling and we shoot more I plan to freeze some for bait and of course smoke a few more. Wonder how them carp eggs would work in a grizz trap?
Did get out one day last week too in the boat caught a half dozen keeper perch soaking a worm.

Caught a 54 inch Lake Sturgeon, 2 Shovel Nose sturgeon, 28 inch, 30 inch, 1  29 inch buffalo sucker,  1  16inch walleye, 1 12 inch rock bass.  Lost  musky in the 50 inch range, it broke hook off treble lure on a diving bait.   So my birthday fishing trip went well and saw a 500+ black bear on way home foraging grass in field like a cow.  The bears ears were very little in comparison with his head which is good sign big bear besides his huge body.  Released all fish, saw some  sturgeon that would go over 150#s.  Sturgeon were jumping all day  and rolling on surface

Sturgeon..Thats one fish I never caught.I bet it's like reeling in a Mack truck.

Mack trk is an understatement, talk about bulldogging .  The drag was screaming away and when you would gain some line , the sturgeon would take off again fresh like.  I would like to find out how one tastes but dont relish  taking a fish where the female has to be at least 20 years old before breeding..  To think this prehistoric fish lasted all these yrs.  Hope they put fish ladders or access  for fish like sturgeon to go above dams to  original spawning grounds

Wanted to go fishing last week but spent couple days in the hosp, getting another stent put in the heart. Also lake I like to fish still has 9 ft of snow around it. Guess will sit at home and watch the fishing channel and have a Tuna samwich.  ::)

Gun Runner  how long in between stents?  What kind of trout  and are there any grayling in lake?
