Remington 552 (picture added)

I recently placed an older 552 on layaway at a local pawn shop. I had a new one as a kid that my father gave me which I foolishly traded for a Spanish Mauser in 7X57. I could tell my father was upset, but he let it go because it was my .22. Anyway the one I found was really nice except the toe of the stock was chipped and the buttplate cracked. I was fortunate to find perfectly matching replacement parts on GunsAmerica so now I have a really nice walnut stocked 552 for $265.00 total. I'm going to try to find a Leupold M8-4X for it.

This will be a nice mate for my 572 Fieldmaster and my 514.

It was made in April 1957.  I went with a Bushnell 1.5-4.5X32 for now.
