enjoying the stick n string
« on: May 09, 2011, 07:13:31 AM »
well the new to me longbow bit me  ::) :-[ :o
im new and she bit me pretty good
i learned to keep my bow arn bent a lil quick but only after she let me know it was straight :P
i just finished up 6 of the 18 old bear woodies i got 1980ish
they had vanes on them these 6 just needed to be fletched up with feathers the other 12 need sanding or striping as the factory finish was cracking and lifting off the shaft
they shoot great from the longbow the box was marked 50/60# bows 30 in. draw
i thought it was easier to sand a lil and  wrap the shaft where the vanes were and refletch
im going to use them for stumping and target shooting
might even put a few old razor tips on them for a real traditional hunt
im enjoying this stick n string stuff way to much ;D ;D ;D ;D

Glad I learned those lessons when I was young. That looks like it smarts.

I don't recall the waiting time however a suitable protective devise including an armguard was purchased.
I can recommend both of these as needed depending on Gender. ;)
