Adding recoil pad to Tikka synthetic?
« on: December 29, 2003, 04:22:57 AM »
I have a whitetail hunter synthetic in 270.  I am thinking of putting a better pad on it - Sims or Pachmayr Decelerator.  I was told by a shop that this might not be easy, as the stock might not be suited for it (the shop rep. was not familiar with the mounting for the synthetic tikka stocks).  I was wondering if anyone here had a pad added, and if there is any difficulty with that stock.  Thanks.

Mark

take the old pad off and get the decelerator pad that needs to be fit then just fit it so that it is flush with the edges of the stock.  you might have to trim some of the stock off to get the lenght of pull right.  good luck
