Cast bullets in a 7400
« on: April 27, 2011, 04:40:38 PM »
Well the saga moves on. I've been working up cast bullet loads for my new to me Rem 7400.
I'm using the Lee Cast 150(160)gr  and 170(180)gr gas checked bullets.  So far so good I got the 170 gr to function reliably load and eject! Today went back out to see if I could the 150 to do the same. I uped the charge by one grain and every thing worked perfectly!  Accuracy has improved as well with the work on the forearm removing the contact points!  Bottom line is don't believe the bad mouthing of the rifle it's bunk!  Cause if don't shoot it just needs a shooter behind it! ;D

When people say they wont shoot , they mean they won't fire because they are jammed !  They are fairly accurate when they fire .
