Muzlloader ID?

Can someone tell me if this is anything significant?
It's barrel is 37" in length.
Approximately 1 1/8" across
Flats are about 1/2"
Caliber appears to be about .32
I know the stock is garbage. Looks like a poorly fitted kit stock. I think to replace the original?
It has "S McCosu" stamped on the barrel. It was stamped twice in one place, then once again that is legible.
It weights about 15 lbs!!

I am not familar with the markings, but the ornate muzzle tells me this started life as a best grade weapon.  Probably a target rifle of some sort, most likely a Schutzen (sp?) rifle.  I don't see it being a hunting rifle due to small caliber and heavy weight, but it seems someone tried to re-fit it as a hunter and failed.  Check the twist rate of the rifling, I'll bet it's around 50 twist or it's perfectly straight.  If straight you have a real treasure!!
