Spincast Reels
« on: April 24, 2011, 09:39:22 AM »
Anybody use spincast reels? I bought a few Zebcos about 3 years ago for the grandkids to use. They have graduated to spinning outfits. I find myself using the spincast more, especially if from the boat or pier.

Spin-cast reels:   Almost the perfect reel in the sense the are about as trouble free as you can get.
Anybody can use one ( well, maybe not Zulu  :)   ) with out the fear of a birds nest/back lash. Push the button and cast away.    Enjoy.

Your never to old to sit on the river bank and enjoy bass fishing.    With the price of gas going up and up, I`m might just have to join you........ ;D

now I sit on the bank with the same reel but with chicken livers for bait.
most people my age have grandsons to help with the boat. my 21 YO daughter puts fishermen in the same category as neanderthals.

    cat-fish bait.      ;D

I've gone back to a cane pole and kite string.  Its cheaper and hard to get a backlash. ;D

Yes I do.     Next week.    Going to spend 4 days at Lake Okeechobee.     Staying at a camp
ground on the rim canal across from a "lock" that gets you onto the lake.  Nice place.  We`re renting a 2 bedroom trailer.   They also have a chow hall on site so early breakfast is no problem.  For dinner, the local Golden Corral is the best place your your buck.

I`ll be thniking about you.  Me on the "big-lake"   and you fishing some drainage ditch behind the local car-wash................... ;D ;D

As far as pic`s go,you know I`m still trying to figure that one out.       As for a "full-report" goes, no problem.      By the way, there will be no .......chicken livers used on this trip!    ;)

No matter what kind of fishing we do, we have had our bass boat for 3 1/2 years now and have logged 89 fishing trips.  :o
We are using the boat, and having a blast! ;D
