Just visited a favorite gun shop today and came upon three Rem. 141's all in 35 Rem. One had approx. 90% finish but a side mounted scope on it (Bushnell cheapie), price 279.00. Of course it has those ugly big holes to mount the side mount.
Another was approx. 85% stock finish (a few light dings here and there, about 90% blue, a shiny, sharp bore and an old (steel) Lyman peep for $249.00
The third was probably 97 or 98 percent overall but it had only the original factory iron sites on it and was priced at 299.00.
I have one of these with a lyman peep that I use for hog hunting, but I broke my forearm this spring on a hog hunt when I used the gun for a club in some thick stuff when a hog unexpectedly came up on me.
Thinking about getting another of these fine little lightweight hog busters, but at these prices I might make an offer on all three.
As I recall I paid 300 for the one I own several years ago at a gun show.
Are these prices in line with what you are seeing out there or are they a bit on the low side as I believe?
Shop must have gotten them pretty cheap to put them on the rack at those prices, maybe he will take 700 for the three.
