wow nice mess of fish!are all those skinny ones pike?if so how do you prepare them to avoid the Y bones?what bait were you  useing?

Skinny ones are small pike. We take all the pike to the Chinese restaurant and trade them for PuPu platters.The crappie and perch are fillet out  and eaten by our family. All fish were caught on small shiners. Thanks for your comments.

we used to call them small pike hammer handles.there aint no better eatin than cold water perch and crappie.dip in cornmeal with paprika, salt and pepper.ummmm good eatin!

i confess i have no idea what the game laws in maine are like...but if you took fish to a resturant where i live, you would be in VERY big trouble.    maine doesnt have a limit on pike?

No size or bag limit on pike,perch or crappie. Some waters are no bag or size limit on bass as well. All considered invasive. Catch and kill.  ;D ;D They do protect the trout and salmon pretty well.  8)

lol now that aint nice, thats like sayin all rednecks eat road kill coon.i only eat the ones i personally run over, that way i know they are fresh.
