Scope Recomendations
« on: April 08, 2011, 08:35:19 AM »
I am curious what you all would recommend for a Encore Handgun with a 15 inch .308 barrel on it.  It will primarily be used for whitetail deer. Thanks.

Burris 2-7X32 AO Plex IER (esp. the old model 200293).

One species has evolved into obese cranial fatheads with thin skin in comparison that whines about anything and everything as their shield against their environment. Meus

I have three Weaver 2.5 - 8X28 pistol scopes and they are really clear and I have not had a single problem with them in years of use. They run average $210.00 . Midway has the Bushnell 3200 2-6X32 on sale for $209.99 right now but you better hurry if you want one.

Another excellent choice for hunting or target shooting with their converging post fine dot reticles is the Tasco Pro Class pistol scopes (30mm tubes), either in the fixed or variable models.   The hardest recoiling loudenboomers don't hurt them (I used them for years on my biggest JDJ's, Super Bowers and a 416 Rigby).   The TPC is long discontinued, but they come up for sale fairly often for 1/3 to less than 1/2 of what they originally cost new.
FWIW
