I started raising them about 3 years ago. A few people stopped by my farm and where impressed. They said they had seen them on game farms. I never knew they where hunted on game farms. what is everyones take on them?
I just think they are neat looking, plus they can defend against coyotes.

I have seen them on a couple of exotic game ranches.  THey ones with alot of horn, both length and mass, seem to bring a good price from hunters.  I saw one tiny one shot this past weekend while I was hunting with my son.  I have a big solid black one mounted on the wall.  His horns were all twisted kinda wierd and he had a really alrge body size for one, which is why I took him during a hunt last year.

Hi Snares,

I like them.  I shot one a few years back and always look for another.  I was hunting with Ken Wilson (Sportsman-on-Film) around Kerrville,TX and saw a few.  I saw a HUGE horned jacobs, but, the upper horns grew parallel and out past his snout.  The lower horns intertwined with them creating a facial basket effect.  I'd bet the upper horns would have easily measured 30" and the lower 20"+.  I just couldn't shoot him....the mount woulda scared my kids!!!

You can see mine at here:

Good Hunting!

the rate in which their horns grow is amazing, I think their horns grow twice as fast as the body. I also have the 2 horn version
