I started carrying a Leatherman Weave last year.  Wow! I like it.  It gets more use then 99% of the knifes I own.  I have always been into knifes.  All store bought except a couple of ground down files as a kid.

I was very impressed with the Leatherman Weave.  Enough that after killing my buck this year I used it for the gutting and skinning chores.  I was impressed.  It was like using a razor.

For Christmas my retirement-job-boss gave me a Schrade Tough tool.  We were impressed with it  when a co-worker was using it around his equipment.  The pt. plier appears to grab slightly larger items.

The small screwdriver on both are great for field repairs on glasses.  The can opener passed the coffee can test on both tools.  The can openers may leave metal shavings in the coffee.  Better then no coffee in the field.
The sissors and file can be used to clean-up finger nails and toe nails in the field.

I think the Leatherman Weave is a better bounce cutting tool then the Schrade Tough Tool.  I used the Leatherman Weave all summer and it held up very good.  Next season I will carry the Schrade Tough tool working and see how it holds up.

Gave a  Buck Combo tool to the father-in-law.  Handy but did not have as many options as the Weave.

The serrated blade on the Leatherman is a great rescue blade for cutting seat belts, ect. where you are working close to items that you do not want to harm.

I still carry a Buck or Case Lock blade knife when hunting.

I have a Schrade ToughTool on my LEO duty belt. I've been using it for about 2 years, now. Other than a few TOTALLY WORTHLESS 'blades', I have no complaints...as it only cost me $18 from WallyWorld(sample).

I like the serrated blade on the Leatherman.  Nice for cutting seatbelts.  I carried a Buck Emergency serrated blade knife for rescues in my LE days, other times a lock back Buck or Case.  The Buck Emergency knife was small, very sharp, flat, and carried in it's case very nice under a spots cost.
