I would argue that it would be better for ordinary citizens if he were even weaker.

That honor still belongs to jimmy carter. DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE OBAMA. He knows that if the U.S. jumps in with both feet and leads this thing it will be reported as U.S. vs muslin or U.S. vs Arab by every news outfit worldwide within a week. Any civilian gets killed guess who will be held to blame. Anything goes wrong and wars never go as planned it will be blame the U.S. I really don't like or trust the raghat but he is a smart politician and never underestimate your enemy.
