Scoped Trappers
« on: March 06, 2011, 07:45:46 AM »
Does anyone have pictures of a scoped trapper?  I would like to see what it looks like before I attempt to mount a shotgun scope on my .357.

What rings did you use? I am afraid of having to remove the sights.

Aver,

Rings are Weaver Quad Locks - high set.  Enough hammer clearance that I don't use an extension.  No interfernce with the rear sight because I sent them to another GBO member. ;D   Scope is a 4x40mm by Norinco.

Aver,

My apologies for highjacking your thread, but I want to ask CW why he mounted the williams peep further forward on the barrel?  The few of these sights I have seen have all been mounted towards the back of the barrel.

Simple!!  I didn't think an inch in site radius would make any difference and the steel there is a bit thicker.  ;D
