new here, here's some stuff i made

hey guys, i've lurked on here a few times, thought it was about time i joined in. i am a full time custom saddle maker. i also make lots of holsters, knife sheaths, rifle slings, etc.  here's some pics. hope you enjoy

Welcome        Very nice work!!! How did you learn your trade? I did this for a living for 15 plus years,but had to learn everything pretty much on my own. Again very nice work.

Alias, i went to a 2 year trade school boot & saddle making program. i worked for a saddle company part time while in school, and for a few years after. the next few years i did custom carving and sub-contract work for different custom saddle makers and saddle companies as well as working directly for and with other makers and companies. i have built custom saddles, tack, and leather work for a living for about 18 years now.


HOG, no i do not have a web site. for years people have been telling me i need one, but so far i have managed to stay busy without it.  i am just a one man shop out in the middle of nowhere, i have 3 small kids, take care of a few cows, so i stay pretty busy. i have literally hundreds of actual photos but they are not downloaded. awhile back my shop computer crashed, and i am not a real high tech guy, so i dont know how to hook this lap top to a scanner so that i can scan and post them. i will either replace it or get someone to help me soon. until then,   i do have quite a few pics of various things i have made lately that i can post if someone wants to see something.

RockinW, that is nice work!

You might want to chat with Graybeard to see what it would take to become one of his recognized vendors, in which case you might find a good customer base here on Graybeard. I for one think guns and leather are like peas and carrots.

I used to make holsters and sold a few, but my work was in the kindergarten class compared to yours!  Your leatherwork is first class +.

I always like to look at nice leather work and your is very nice. Get that scanner hooked and post some more.
