It's a bit abusive in the .308. By the time I got it sighted in a group tested my shoulder was bruised for about a week. (BTW, I was using sandbags and had a good cheek weld and proper pressure being held to my shoulder.) The survivor rifles are a bad concept for an actual survival rifle. There is no need for a bull bbl on a survival rifle plus it should have a 16" bbl anyway, the stock needs a recoil pad fitted, some form of flash hider should be attached w/ standard threads to accept a suppressor.
