russian ammo in Glocks?

I have seen chambering and extraction problems with the Tula ammo in ARs Haven't shot any of the stuff, but have fired 4-5k rounds of Wolf and Silver Bear in both ARs and Glocks with no problems. I haven't chronographed any of the Russian pistol ammo, but find the Silver Bear to be very consistent and accurate in .223. I did shoot over 1200 rds of Wolf in .45acp in a Glock 21 and a Kimber Custom Target in a training class without problems. That was with the old lacquered cases and minimal cleaning over a 24hr period. If I find the Silver Bear at a good price I buy it for cache ammo to use when I get behind on my reloading.

It might be an individuality situation too.  My Glock 17 and 19 shoot Russian steel case just fine.  I stopped using it in my CZ-75 and my Philippines 1911A1 due to greater probability of jamming and the soot gets into the crevices of the CZ.

I was at the range a few months ago and there was a new Glock 17 using the Russian stuff that some women were shooting.  The gun jammed when it tried to double feed.  It took 3 hands to clear it.  I recommended to them that the Russian stuff was not reliable in their gun.  I primarily use brass case, but will pick up a box of Ruski every now and then.

Considering it is about all I can find to shoot that I can afford,
I'm gonna' shoot it. It is dirty burning though. I think they did finally
swap to a real non=corrosive primer but I still thoroughly clean
after shooting it.

Per the people at a couple of distributors I've talked to, Tula ammo and components are made in the same factory as Wolf, just packaged in different containers.  I bought 5,000 Tula LP primers last week...should be here tomorrow.

It does not seem to matter to my G-17 what you put in it, it goes BANG. The Wolf is pretty dirty and not as accurate as white box WW or green/white box Rem.

My 23 eats the  40 S&W Wolf like candy. The recoil seems pretty sharp in my gun.

I use to shoot alot of wolf in my 19 and 34. I don't see how it would hurt much, what it did do however was to give me lots of practice at dealing with stoppages.
