Dan Wesson Panther 45 ACP
« on: December 15, 2003, 07:05:09 AM »
Does anyone know anything about the Dan Wesson Panther Series 45 ACP??  I was in my local gun shop and they had a DW Panther that they wanted either $545.00 or $595.00 for.  I looked at the bushing on the front of the gun and there was some blueing missing.  Looks like someone could have been a little careless with a bushing wrench but they said the gun was new and came to them from DW that was and it was a machining mark!!  They were selling it as a new gun but I have my doubts at this point.  I have not heard of the Panther series and there is nothing that I could find on DW's web site.  The slide was smooth and the trigger seemed to have some creep in it before it let go.  Any help you can send my way would be appreciated.  Thanks again for any help you can give!!
