We live straight west of Green Bay WI, about 1/2 hour. The snow is coming down, the tree lights are on, and the popcorn is popping. My reloading manual and books are on the table next to the recliner and I'm looking up load prospects for the 30-06 Handi.

On another note, I'm glad I'm not out there in the elements and and thankful I'm not driving on the hill in Duluth Manysodas on the way to my hunting spot near Orr. I couldn't even imagine trying to go up or down that hill in the spaghetti bowl exchange of roads in weather like this. How do you Minnesotans deal with that climb to Miller Hill all winter?

Most of last week we had single digit overnight temps, day time highs in the twenties. Saturday it was clear and almost fifty, last night it was below freezing and today torrential rains, but warm. I'm glad its not snow, as it would be FEET for sure!

SO looks like another day in the loading room for me too!!

I returned home on the Cape (Cape Cod, Ma) from the camp in Maine last night. I returned a day early since I had all my work done (cutting and loading Christmas trees for home) and the weatherman was predicting rain for Maine today.
Two days ago in Maine I woke up to no temperature at all, it was zero and felt it. There was only about 8" of snow on the ground at the camp, but at my friends place about 20-25 miles away they had just under 2 feet.
Today on the Cape it is 50 but windy. What the heck, I may even play golf later today if I can squeeze it in. Life in New England. As has been said many times, If don't like the weather, wait a minute....<><....:)

Update; S-cent WI, by this morning we had another 6-8ish, a little drifting, 2+ hrs with the two of us and the neighbor did most of it with his ATV &snowplow! Bitter below -0- coming so its get it clear or it sets up hard (last time this happened I didnt get the hard berms out of the driveway until March).
My friend 1/2hr to the north got 12-14" and it took him 4hrs. He fired up the woodstove and melting pot in the garage and went to shovel; he'd come in to warm up and cast bullets for a while. Made me 100+ 38-55s for Christmas; what a GREAT GUY!

38 and rain here in northern new york.  Was freezing rain all night into the morning. Cooling off and snow and wind is supposed to start. I came home from camp before it got started.  Today was the last day of late ml season, hence the end of deer season until next september.  This is the first time in a long time that I wasnt out until last light.

WIND!! OMG... it blew in a window in the back bedroom about noon!!!!

What a crash!! These are new(er) windows!! Junk plastic latches, but only about 15 years old. Apparently broke both upper latches, that swung in dislodging the lower window sending it crashing in the wall beneath the window.

The gusts here are very strong!!!

I put bucky, Huntsman 8 point, in the freezer yesterday.  Got up this morning at about a quarter to four, and it was snotty.  I went down to the barn, turned the heat on in the gun/tool room, got the shortie .357 Maxi out and took the red dot off her and replaced it with a 3-9x50 and bore sighted it.  I stepped outside and put three .38s through the burn barrel.....all low, but centered.  I was getting blown all over, and I said "Self, enough of this".  I don't think we've got 6 inches here, but it is COLD the wind would take ya ta Kansas if it were going the other way.  Dorothy and Totto just whipped past here.

As windy and nasty as it is I still went and got my new .357 Handi Rifle a couple hours ago.  Really glad I have AWD!
