Does anyone have any experience with the Kifaru designed ultralight rifle?  It looks very strange and has some interesting features built into it (such as a forarm hand grip).   Also how expensive are these hunting rifles?8)

The Kifaru is pretty expensive.  Basically a lightened 700 action and wild stock.  I think they start around 3K or something like that.

I think I'll go buy 4 nice 700 Remingtons before I'd pay for that ugly thing!   KN

I'm agree with Zachary....it looks like Heck!

What i really don't like is the "forearm"...weird looking BUT (also) not comfort to grip. How can we shoot that rifle as accurate as the "conventional" forearm??....(both with offhand shooting and off the rest).
Life is like a story, it is the "content" and not the "length" to make it good....

Zachary,

You are right.  That thing has to be a two bagger, just in case one bag was to blown off.  Lawdog

Ugly Kifaru

I have read some reports on it.  It is ugly, but it shoots pretty well.  The handgrip on the forearm is a great idea.  I cchecked out a tactical Blazer 93 with the same configuration, and it worked really well.

I personally do not have 3 G's to blow on something like that.  However, they are very light (great for backpacking), and somewhat revolutionary (maybe too revolutionary in design).  They also are switch calibers, with different barrels.  8)

Looks like a danged ole gar!  Some out there might not know what a gar is but it is the drizzlin's of a fish, good for not a durned thing, in my opinion!
