Have taken three deer with the BC and leverevolution. Observations: first a mature doe at 40 yds. broadside. Bullet nicked onside shoulder enough to break bone, then tru ribs and out shattering offside shoulder bone. Found a few lead and jacket fragments. Half dollar size hole in onside ribs. Golfball sized hole on offside ribs. Piled up inside 30 yds. Second large button buck. 30 yds. broadside, rib to rib just behind shoulder.. Half dollar entrance, golfball sized exit. Ran about 30 feet. Third, young doe, about 35 yds., rib to rib just behind shoulder. Golfball sized entrance, tennis ball sized exit. Ran about 20 feet. Summary: These are pretty short ranges. All pass thru's. I think bullet/loads will do fine on broadside or quartering shots. Might be too fragile for larger game. Did find unburnt powder in barrel after third deer. Not noticed on others fired.
Did I mention I love my BC? It hits right where I look. Practically no recoil with LR's. Easy on the ears with the 32" barrel. Sweet rifle.
Looking forward to a longer range shot to check performance but deer keep getting too close.
Had a chance at two more does this morning, both inside twenty yds. Passed. Taking daughter to that spot in the morning. She is on a three year dry spell and wants to break the drought.
