Open sights ?
« on: November 13, 2010, 06:08:17 PM »
Like to know what other people have tried out for different open sights on there contenders. Is there any good after market fiber optic or three dot type? The sights on my 10” 44 are good but my eyes are getting old. I’m not going to scope that one.

Greetings,

I use typing white-out on the back of the front blade, really helps. The white-out comes in a handy little bottle with a built-in brush. It dries instantly and is easily removed. Wearing my bi-focals doesn't work so I got a pair of 2.5x full lens reading glasses at wallmart, now I can see the front sight. However, the target is fuzzy.

I have a few three-dot sights on revolvers and they are a great combat sight but not optimal for paper. I never tried fiber optics, but they seem to work for the proctologist.

Soon they will have clamp-on television cameras so you can use a 23inch monitor for sighting. Good Luck.

I wear bi focals, so I had the optomitrist make me a pair with the bi focal  {I'm nearsighted}  out a ways past my outstretched hand, I can see the sights, and also see what I'm shooting at.
