Rem. 700 Lefty in30/06
« on: December 09, 2003, 05:56:43 PM »
I saw one in a shop today used with burris bases and rings asking price was $499.00 is this about right? I have seen others before but this one seemed to fit me better, only problem is I am way short on funds right now it would take me six months to save enough dough for this baby!
It's funny being able to actuate the bolt while holding the rifle on target I am used to mauser military action not made for southpaws like me

Maybe I'm just a cheapo (OK, I am a cheapo), but I'd call $499 used a bit stiff, personally. I usually look for them $350 or so.

Just my two cents, worth every penny.  :D

I paid about that for my 700 in 7mm Rem Mag in 1989!  Mine started as a BDL, and has become a semi custom since then.  I think in a high end gun store you will pay $500+ for a bdl 700 lefty.  If someone with their ffl can order it for you,  then I would suspect that you could get it for somewhat less.
