Confused about Hornet production?
«

After a search I'm confused, not unusual. Is the 22 Hornet back in regular production? Threads from earlier this year note it was discontinued in 2008. The website notes a current model in a synthetic stock with open sights. Forum members keep talking about buying new rifles! Any words of wisdom out there?

It was discontinued, but after Remington bought H&R/Marlin in Jan 2008, they started making them again, all 1:9" twist.

Thanks,
I lost interest in Handi's because all I wanted was a hornet. That twist suits me fine as I want to play with lead cast bullets that are slow but heavy.

Bob,
Are you casting your own or buying them? I have a Lee bator mould but it only throws about a 46 grain GC slug. I was looking for something heavier when I found that but it was all I could get at the time.
