Mornin guys!!

 I hit the range yesterday with the handis. Only took four this trip, the 357 maxi, the 454 cassull, the 32/20 and 25/35 TS's.

The maxi is the maxi, its always been an excellent shooter. I tested a couple 200GR FTX loads and found one that shows some real interest, a ragged one hole group @ 50yards.

The 454 was also shooting well, nice round groups almost always touching. Starting loads of H110 powers and 300Gr SP's.

The 32/20 Trotter Special had some work on it since the last trip. I meticulous fitted it to the receiver, converted it to extractor and did a trigger job. NICE TRIGGER!! I also found a new load, but need to chrono it but it shoots into one hole at 50 yards!! Its SR 4756 powder and a 100Gr XTP bullet. Should be moving along at 1500 or so.

The 25/35 Trotter Special never really has been shot. I also carefully fit it to its receiver, converted it to extractor and did a trigger job. I dropped the hammer a couple times last year but that was simply a function test. I fired two 117Gr RN loads with 4320 powder, one 117SP and one other 100Gr load. All shot well most had a flyer. All where five shot groups at 50 yards. Most everything was inside 1.5" some better with couple bullets touching then a flyer. Overall, I think it shows promise and only a matter of time till I find its load of preference.

Sounds like you had a nice day at the range.  Now I have to go to Steve's Pages and see what a 25/35 cartridge looks like.

What is the twist on your 32-20?
Ive got a custom stub 25-35, 1:10twist, I'll have to check my notes on what jacketed bullets I used with success in the initial workup. This summer Ive concentrated on cast bullets with satisfaction.

I have a whole page of 32-20 loads developed by target shooters when the TC barrel first was being developed, I will find and post them, they are from the American Rifleman circa late '80's. I do remember that the most accurate listed @ 50 yds was .302 and was a 85 gr Hornady HP over 7 gr of Blue Dot, which I have used to good effect in my gun.
