760 trigger work?
« on: October 18, 2010, 03:26:57 AM »
went to the range yesterday with my 30-06 760. I inherited this gun from my father in law just before he passed away(bless his soul). 760 BDL deluxe classic, mid 60's vintage, don't think it has fired a full box of ammo. Fired 5 rds of reloads i put together. First round was a flyer, not used to the trigger. The next four went into a group about 1 1/2". This thing will really shoot. The trigger is around 6 lbs and seems like it takes forever to break. If anyone knows where i could send my trigger group for improvment i could sure use the info, i'd like to get it down to 3.5 lbs or so.....Mike

Contact: Gary Sullivan.

He did a trigger job on my 7600 and he did a great job as advertised on time. Great guy to deal with. He only works part time at it so get on it if you want the rifle for this deer season.

my 760 trigger group came home today. When i sent it off it measured 6 lbs pull even. After Gary did his magic it's a sweet 3.5 lbs, perfect for hunting(for me that is). Can't wait to get to the range. Anybody wants to get their 760 trigger worked on i highly recommend Gary Sullivan. Thanks again Dave :D

use the contact info above to contact Gary. I'm hesitant to quote prices for him. I will say that I couldn't get a gunsmith to LOOK at my gun for the price he did my trigger for including shipping. You only need to send him the trigger group, not the whole gun, and it fits real nice in a 5 dollar proirity mail box....give him a call
