Do i need one? i want to get a 1-Piece Picatinny-Style base to put on my savage 243 when i replace the el-cheapo scope that came on it. At what range does the 20moa base become useable? i have never really shot much over 100-200 yards, but am wanting to slowly build my rifle into something that i can shoot longer distances with. maybe 300-500 yards. I think a standard base will suit me just fine, but just wanted to get an opinion before i clicked "buy".
