New (to me) OM 41 Mag
« on: September 21, 2010, 06:12:53 AM »
Snagged an 41 mag old model 4 5/8 Blackhawk last week...  Serial number places it made in 1970.  Already had a box stock one in the set so this one got some enhancements..  Added a brass dragoon grip frame (MR3-DB), wide Super Blackhawk (SBH) trigger and SBH hammer...  Put a Bowen rear sight on it last night... :)

A man after my own heart. I findly got 1 about a year ago. Love those old Rugers. I have them in Bear Cat. Single Six, 30 Carbine, .357, 41, 44 mag. and 45 Colt. None have the transfer bar, I want them the way Ruger made them. ;)

A set of CLC CUSTOM GRIPS would be nice.

Haven't decided on grips yet...  Hard to say no to CLC stuff though.  All my other Home Boy Brassies wear Cary C's claro walnut.

I had a set of CLC curly mesquite grips on my Blackhawk.  Yours look great.

Added Bowen rear sight and a set of parts box stags...  Grips will  do for photo but won't be permanent.... A little to thick for my little hands.  :D  Don't know if it will be Cary C for some nice wood or Sack Peterson for some elk stags...  I do kind of like this look of stag, brass, and blue...   :)   Steel EJRH turned out wrong...  NM version won't work...  Have to hunt up an OM EJRH...  As luck would have it that NM 4 5/8 45 Colt BH in the safe can use the steel EJRH... ;D

Awesome! I'm a huge 41 Mag fan. I have a 6.5 inch New Model 41 mag. I hope to get a 4 5/8"
one someday soon.  I love that brass frame. Looks awesome.
