What is your model 700 chambered in?
« on: September 16, 2010, 01:09:34 AM »
Would like to know what calibers/cartridges you own in a model 700, heck lets include its little brother the model Seven as well.  No 710's or 770's.  Feel free to include pics if you got em, everybody likes a little gun porn now and then.

Here are mine:
Model 700's
30-06
35 Whelen
7mm-08
338-06AI
358 Norma Mag
the wife's 300 wsm
model 673 in 350 Rem Mag (the original short magnum)
and the wife's model Seven in 7mm-08

I ran into some financial issues a couple years back and sold 16 rifles!  These are all the center fire sporting rifles that i have left.  My perfect two.  I really cant complain as they were the only ones i ever used anyways.s

.308 win Stainless.  H.S precision stock, timiney trigger, blueprinted action.
.22-250   Factory heavy barrel, H.S precision stock, timiney trigger, blueprinted action, target crown.

By far the most accurate rifles i have ever owned.
I am not afraid to make an example out of you

My last 700 was a 222Mag. Used it for years and traded it for a Ruger 22-250.

My whelen is a classic as well, I am thinking about swapping out the stock also as the one on it is a gorgeous piece of wood.

I have an older carbine chambered in 222 Magnum.

I feel silly with just one, I think I need a heavy barrel 308 or a 6.8 SPC.

BDL in .223 that I bought for $350 cause it shot 2 1/2" groups. Trigger job, bedding, hand lapped and finally a little "black Magic" Cryo and it shoots 5 in 1/2 or less of lot's of stuff.  Moder 7 LS in 7mm SAUM, brand new dumped by Remington for under 4 bills including tax.
