New stainless barrels offered on the barrel program.
« on: September 14, 2010, 02:47:09 PM »
I was on their barrel order page online and noticed they are selling stainless steel barrels? I know the 45-70 is stainless, but do you think they may offer new stainless configurations in 2011? I dont get online much, but if this is old news, sorry for the repost.

Nope, nothing new there, they've offered some stainless barrels for a long time, 223, 22-250, 243, 270 and 30-06, they've eliminated all stainless rifles except the all stainless 45-70 Ultra Hunter, they have no barrels left for the accessory barrel programs at this time, what they offer next year is anyone's guess.  :-\

The Hornet may be, but the 357 isn't, the only way to know is call, even then it may be out of stock by the time they get to your frame.  :-\

Well, the story of my life as in a day late or a dollar short. Just when I've decided to buy a new .357Mag barrel to conver it into  Maxi and the factory rep told me they don't have any available. Further, he did not know when they would become available.  Does anyone here have a clue of when do H&R usually makes a run of new barrels for the accesory program.

Thanks
