Zastava M98 300 Winmag
« on: August 31, 2010, 10:20:22 AM »
I took my new (second hand) 300 to the range for the second time.
The first time I only shot 5 shots to get the scope sighted in.
I only shot 15 shots - I had one flyer (me) but all the other 3 shot
groups were ALL under an inch!! ;D ;D
These were with 180gr Prvi and 220gr PMPs. The cheapest
ammo I could find.

I am really pleased with my new rifle. Can't wait to start reloading
for it and to take it hunting.

Hasn't anyone told you?  It isn't possible to get those results with a .300 Magnum - too much recoil, blast, etc.  ;)

Sounds good, it is amazing how many 300WM rifles will shoot.

Thank you - it is good to be back! I lost the 6.5 in a house fire
about a year and a half ago  :'(. And this is how long it took the government
to grand me my license for the 300 (actually longer, I applied before the fire)

So I have been hunting with the bow for the last 2 years. I posted a couple of pictures in the archery section but those guys are quiet!! (Maybe because
they are bow hunters  ;D)

It just smell much better if you pull the trigger on a rifle than on a bow. I
will take some pictures this weekend.
