Picked up my BC 45 Colt
« on: August 22, 2010, 06:59:00 AM »
From my FFL yesrterday.   ;D  Neat little thing.  I shot it a few times in my basement range... with primer powered rubber bullets of course!   :D

250 gr FTX's @ about 1000 fps... I think this will be my Granbabies deer gun as they come along.   ;D

Congrats on the new gun. Looking to a 45-70 myself. These 45's are simply amazing. Big heavy slow bullet through a deer's shoulders = meat in the freezer!!!!

Good luck on load work.

Well, Richard I see you are adding to the collection.  Isn't it great to have grandchildren to blame it on?  My wife has been counting guns and grandchildren lately  though, and I may have a problem on my hands...... ;D

Took the little fella' out for a walk yesterday on pretense of squirril hunting, but I was mostly scouting.  We jumped a big un'!  Little man was upset I didn't shoot...he doesn't get the whole season and caliber thing and did not see why on his daddy's land we couldn't shoot a deer in August with a 22....

We also found turkeys....lots and lots of turkeys.  Now I know where all that corn is going I'm dumping in the feeders...they is fat turkeys......! :D

Have fun with the 45, and let the little guy shoot it occasionally...

Richard, you're going to love the .45.  How long before you turn it into a .460? ;D :D ;)
