280 rem handi rifle

you think it would be a good deal for a handi rifle in 280 rem for $130 is what they would take. Is this a good caliber

IMO, any HANDI SB-2 that doesn't have a bent barrel is worth $130.

+1 on BB's reply, even a bent barrel can be shortened if ya got 16" of straight barrel from the chamber end, go for it, that's a great buy, you can just about double your money in parts!!  ;D

this one is a recent trade in seems to be in good shape how bout the caliber is it an accurate caliber to have

280 is an outstanding cartridge, and in the 26" barrel you get all she has to offer.  If you were to run the 280 out of a handi and a 7 mag across a chrony, I don't think you would find enough difference to worry about.  I quit useing and sold my 7 mags after spending a season with the 280, now I have 3 of them.  DP

Man I've happened into a couple of deals, and if it was me at that price I would sell one of my guitars and jump on it quick. 280 is tops on my want list

At that price even I would buy it. It kinda takes the worry out of whether or not it will shoot. You could sell it for a profit any time.
