Nice gun!  According to Grandpa Mike's calculations the 270 Win (heavier bullets) is right there with the 30-30.  I expect to see a run on 270s now. ::)

BTW, I plink with a 17HMR or 22LR, so what is your hunting caliber, 50 BMG?

Yea I kind of expected that.......... ::)
Other than a 223 this is my first small diameter centerfire.
Always wanted a 270, just now getting one.
Normal hunting round is either a 35 Rem or 7 Mag.
