Question about 35 Whelen and versatility?
« on: August 17, 2010, 06:59:52 AM »
I was reading an article on the 35 Whelen and it said you can shoot 38 specials and 357 mags from a gun chambered in 35 Whelen for plinking or small game. Is this true? If so then can you shot 357 max from it also?
If so that would be a versatile gun in my mind. I am dreaming big. What the recoil like on a 35 Whelen?
Thanks

You can handload .357" bullets in it for plinking/small game, but not the .38 or 357mag ammo.
