Pics Of My 2 New Guns
« on: August 17, 2010, 05:38:20 AM »
Good Morning All,
Have a picture of my 2 new guns.

Top one is a Survivor in Cal 308 That ended up costing me $250.00.
Bottom is a Talo Trapper in 357 mag.

Now I just need to get out and shoot them.

Charlie

My HB 308 started life as a survivor; however, it now sports thumbhole lams.  Haven't really had to time to find the perfect load, many shoot well .75 to 1.5.  The crazy thing is it shoots the lot of silver bear I have, almost into one hole.  Go figure.  Killed a nice 12pt deer with her.

Congrats.  I've been eyeballing that 308 survivor myself, but I think I'm going to go 7mm-08.  I do wish H&R would make some longer barrel options for those wishing to shoot longer ranges.  Nothing extreme, just 24 or 26 would be nice.  My .45-70 BC and .45LC BC's will handle any of my game needs, I was just hoping to make up a long range accuracy gun and I like the b.c. of the 7mm ammo.  My just have to go with a bolt, but I like to be handily different. ;)
