Midway is a fine retailer, I have purchased many things over the years,
with absolutely no problems. However check with ED first for any barrel
purchase.

Copy that P.A. Myers, I too have purchased many things from midway and would agree on their excellent service and products, I have heard nothing but great things about ED's TC.

you could also try H&H sport shop, they always have some kind of deal on T/C barrels  ;D

200.00 for a 14 inch 44 mag.

I have bought 2 Contender barrels from Midway. I don't own an Encore though.

I also buy quite a bit of stuff from MidwayUSA but never an Encore or Contender barrel because, in my opinion, Midway's prices on barrels are a bit high.

For more economical barrels, try gunbroker.com or manventureoutpost.com.  In addition, before you buy, price a custom barrel from Match Grade Machine.

There is also another T/C rebate program for $50 back if you purchase a new T/C barrel running from August through November.

I've found Midsouth reasonably priced and quick.
