Revbc - The same thing happened when I reamed out for .357 Max. Using Tim's reamer, I went just a little too far. The result was the cartridge seated just a little bit too deap, and I got FTF about 50% of the time. It's completely my fault - I should have marked the base of the chamber so that I wouldn't remove any material from this area. Just a dumb moment.
I read about the fix from Tim on another thread - adhere some material to the base of the extractor to push the cartridge back out a bit. I've not had a FTF since the fix (but w/out shooting .357 max yet).
My question to anyone - does the extra headspace that this gun has result in the gun being less safe to fire? Since the fix, I've fired with .38 and .357 mag without a problem, but I've been reluctant to fire the higher pressure .357 max. Should I be worried?
