floating barrel ?

any ideas on determineing where my stock is touching the barrel? i think i feel a slight rub when i use a dollar bill, can i put somthing on the barrel and put it in and have it leave a mark where it hits?
what part of "shall not be infringed" dont you understand???

A tube of lipstick will work just fine. Rub it on the suspect area where the dollar hangs up and carefully re-install the action into the stock and replace the screws. The lipstick will transfer over to the barrel.

Another approach is to get a wooden dowel about the diameter of the barrel and wrap sand paper around it. I use about a six inch length. Sand the stock in the area where the dollar bill hangs up.

You may want to check for touch spots around the chamber and and action area. It should also be floated there. The only place the action should touch the stock is at the back of the recoil lug and the screws that bolt the action to the stock.
