went to the range today with my new .223
« on: July 04, 2010, 11:19:10 AM »
so i sighted in my .223 today and this was the best group i could get at 50yrds. and it took me like 30rnds to get the scope dialed in. the scope was just all over the place. i really have to get a new scope. i was shooting winchester white box. so when i head back to the range to dial it in a 100yrds i am going to get some better ammo.

i like to hunt the hunters

well looks like ya got the scope close, give'r some time to break in an read the FAQ's found on the top of the main page, for accurizing tips. Sometimes it's just minor work or adjustment to the forearm that'll help alot.
I use to think that forearm screw had to be real tight,,that's not the case  ???
Alot of folks say they have good luck with those 45grn winchester white box but they didn't shoot well in my 223 either. Mines a 1-12 twist and dosen't like the "high velocity" stuff.
Niether animal nor paper knows or cares how fast a bullets going  ;D
