Will a encore limbsaver pad fit a g2 contender?
« on: July 03, 2010, 05:20:23 AM »
Has anyone installed a limbsaver pad on a factory G2 synthetic rifle buttstock? Seems I read that one for a encore with the synthetic stock would fit. Let me know if you have done this or have any knowledge about this. Thanks again.

If you are useing the synthetic stock the answer is yes. I can't say for sure about the wood style.

I am using the synthetic stock so I guess I will try to get one to help with the recoil of the .50 cal muzzleleoading barrel. It kicks pretty stout. Thanks Keyway for the info I was beginning to think no one was out there.

Your welcome. I have the same gun and wanted a better pad so I tried my pad off of my Encore and found it fit perfectly.Wonder why the manufactures are not listing it with there pads?

I thought I had read it here before and tried to do a search and find it and didn't have much luck. The muzzleloading barrel really kicks pretty hard with a 100 grains of blackhorn out of such a light gun so I thought the limbsaver pad would help. I had a cheap scope on the gun and it kissed my brow a time or two and I replaced it with a nikon omega scope with the extra eye relief that should help with that problem. I too have a pro hunter with a limbsaver pad and I know it seems to help a lot. I guess I could have done like you and tried to swap the pads and seen if it fit. Anyway thanks again for the info.
