Pardner Sights

Brand new here.

I'm not much of a gun guy to begin with and I certainly don't want to step on any toes.

I live in a rural area and have a Pardner 20.

It is the only gun I own.

I put a HiViz Plain Barrel Fiber Optic rear sight and a TruGlo Glo-Dot II front sight on it.

Match up the 2 dots and pull the trigger.

Works for me.

What works for you is what's best for you. Congratulations for finding what you like, many of us have been looking and trying different things and are still at it, but that is half the fun with these fine little guns.

Thanks for the sight info, I have a 20 ga smooth bore barrel arriving shortly that is supposed to be a donor for a barrel liner project.  I was thinking of cutting it down and playing with foster slugs before it goes to the smith.  I will look at the sights you use and see if they will work.

I'll let you know, if I ever get my 20 ga barrel.  It is overdue and I am beginning to smell something fishy.  will be the first time a got bit on Gunbroker in a couple of year.

How did you attach them. My efforts to google-up these sights raise more questions than they answer.

cantankerous: They both just 'click' on to the barrel.

The front sight has a little notch that indexes on the bead.

HiViz doesn't list a plain barrel rear sight, just a front sight.  ???

So you're using a front sight for a rear sight, sort of a double bead?

As I said when I came on here, I'm really not a gun guy so I don't know all of the terminology.

I guess it is a double bead only the 2 sights just clip on.

I'm using both as they are intended to be used.

The GloDotII clips on and indexes on the front bead.

The HiViz clips on the barrel wherever you want it.

I installed the red optic pipes on both.

I live in a rural, forested area and figured that a low light situation would be the most common situation.

The fiber optics work like a champ.
