make sense??

ok well i finally got out and shot my 45-70 handi the other day and was suprised by the accuracy. after it was sighted in it was no problem getting 3 rounds to touch at 100 yards. now that i know its a keeper i wana dress her up a little and am looking at the topper trap stock. reading the threads ive discoverd if its shootin good dont mess with it. so does it make sense to order just the forearm and see if  it changes accuracy i can send it back if it does or does the stock make a difference too? also what about putting the o ring under the forearm, its straight out the box, do you think this could improve accuracy to? ONE RAGGED HOLE MAYBE???? hahaha

I put a Topper Deluxe Classic stock set on mine.  It didn't change a thing.  The rimmed cartridges aren't finicky like the rimless cartridges.

It may or may not change how it shoots..rimmed cartridge or not.If you are unhappy with the way yours looks or feels,pick up one of the stocks you like and try it.Nothing ventured nothing gained a they say.If you get a set like swampy's and they don't work for you..the faq's is full of tips and tricks on how to fix it.Don't know about sending them back since you are already doing much better than the factory warrents these rifles to shoot

Hey Swampie, I agree with ya there.  The rimmed are much more reliable.  That's a very pretty stock set....now you guys have me watering at the mouth again. ::)

Question is....why isnt this a factory offering in complete rifles? Eye appeal has as much to do with selling guns as any other product.
