Barrel Shimming Question
« on: June 24, 2010, 03:20:25 AM »
I've gotten my first barrel that needs to be shimmed and have read the FAQ's which is great information.  My question is has anyone tried a more permanent solution than epoxy (JB Weld), something like soldering the shim in place?

AHK,

Look in the FAQs and search for shim.  I think it is Fred M's link that discusses sodiering the shim in place.  I need a spellchecker, I can't spell sodier, the think you do with heat and melting wire/flux. :-[

Why be difficult, when with a little extra effort you can be impossible?
