You can mail order ammo from lots of places so don't limit yourself to Wal Mart.

Here is loading data for the cartridge from Accurate Arms.

Limitations? Well if you have a T-Rex hunt planned you might not wanna use it. On the other hand Karamojo Bell killed many thousands of elephants with the 7x57 which is the ballistic twin so maybe if all you want to hunt is elephants it is fine.  :-D

I love it. My favorite cartridge for deer sized game. Used it for much else also. I'd not hesitate to use it on elk or moose or black bear reall with the right bullets. I'd likely NOT use it on the big bears.

Ditto.

I have two guns in 7mm-08 and I absolutely love them.  In fact, I plan on getting another gun chambered in 7mm-08 in the future.

In my opinion, it is an excellent cartridge.  I have shot deer and hogs with it with no problem. It's light recoiling, very accurate (at least in my guns) and has plenty of power to get the job done - especially in combination with premium bullets like the 140 grain nosler partition - which is loaded by Federal.

You will hear a lot of it here.  The 7M-08 is an excellent caliber.  Accurate and good for everything up to at least deer.

The dumbest thing I ever did was sell my 7-08     It'll be my next rifle whenever I have the pennies to get one.

I would definitely reccommend it.  Very accurate and works darn good on the deer here in TX.
