44 mag. Barrel 10 grooves ?

I got a 44 mag barrel the other day and it is rifled with 10 lands and grooves. Is this common ? My new Talo carbine in 44 mag has only 6 lands . Thanks 26-t

Some older overbore H&R 44mag barrels were microgroove, but with 12 groove, same as Marlin, Pete has one.

My micro barrel 44 mag has 12 lands and it slugged out at .431. So it is a overbore 44 mag. My Talo 44 mag measures out at .429.   26-t
