« on: June 03, 2010, 04:28:01 PM »
I have a remington 870 and 3 barrels one is 18" with a fixed cylinder choke, a 28" mod fixed choke, and a 28" barrel with removable chokes i have a mod and super full choke for that what would be best for rifled slugs? and also what rifled slugs work good I ussualy use remington sluggers or winchester rifled slugs.

I wouldn't try shooting any slugs thru the super full choke.

As for the others you just never know until you shoot them as far as accuracy goes.  Each gun/barrel is different and what works good in one may not be accurate in another.

If it were me I'd probably try some sluggers and some Winchesters thru the modified barrel first and then go from there.

I figurd a super full choke would be to tight for slugs but I geuss I will have to shoot em to find out although I think the 28" with removable chokes is gonna be what I use because it is dura coated and also has some pretty good sights on it and the 18" one is only a bead sight but if I have some extra money i'm going to throw a red dot on there.
