want to spruce up my old 700 with a new paint job and wandering if anyone new how to get the webs in the paint like those high dollar hs stocks

Don't know about the webs but I just did my 204 Handi with Rustolem textered in tan that did a good job.

I never did the webs but I did use the Rustoleum textured on my Stevens 200, Ruger 10/22, and a old H&R with great results.

Looks like they used a turkey baster with a very small hole and drizzled the paint on a rotating stock.. Perhaps a rotisery from a BBQ grill? smaller the hole, smaller the string.. I'm sure they had an automated way to apply but that should work. Afterward and coat of clear to seal and help bond the raised ridges..
